Bat City Gelato - Austin

Bat City Gelato has some of the best gelato in all of Austin if not the best I recommend all visitors and people new to living in the area to give them a try. My favorite flavors are the pear sorbetto and Harry Potter butterbeer along with a few others and there are new seasonal flavors that pop up!!!!

What a gem of a place with a great name and just minutes from our house! The affogato with creme brulee is divine.

Dairy-free options. The sorbetto is darn good. I've visited several times and every time the staff has been very nice! Editing this review to list my favorite dairy free flavors. Strawberry limeade POG Mangonada Lemon If you go on a Sunday afternoon they will be out of almost everything. Plan accordingly.

After hearing about this place from many many of our neighbors we finally had a chance to give it a shot. We are not disappointed! Everything is so great. Store was nice and clean. The owner greeted us warmly and introduced their flavor today patiently. She also offered some sample to try before we order. We picked white coffee and dark chocolate gelato and both are very delicious! They also had the Halloween themed Pops available, we bought the Booberry before we left and it was really good too! Very pleasant experience with this lovely local store.

Wow! This is so darn good gelato. You can definitely taste when something is quality with gelato because its a finicky process to make. The place is very clean and they provide water for downing the ice cream in case you need it. Also the bathroom was very clean in case you would like to know. They allow you to go in if you have been fully vaccinated for covid, so highly recommend you get that done if you have not.
