This is an excellent restaurant with wonderful, attentive staff. They customized my meal due to my allergies and made sure I was well taken care of. The homemade pasta is made on-site, and the sauce is light—not too heavy at all. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, not overdone. There’s a great selection on the menu as well. Highly recommend! What Jessica's Eating Show doesn't like about Atx Olive Company:
We went for Valentines day and were seated with a dedicated valentines day menu. A quick evaluation showed it was not an option for us as we are vegetarian and the menu was steaks. They did not complain and handed us the regular menu. We ordered, the food came in an appropriate time and was good. The jazz duo playing was entertaining without being intrusive. Convenient and perfect option for South Austin meeting place at 71 and 35 intersection, particularly at lunch. While inside the Marriott hotel, the menu was diverse,, food was very good, very bright and quiet for a business meeting. Will definitely be back when in the area.
We waited for more than what’s fair after being sat/seating ourselves. We reserved as a big party and ended up with more problems than we can count. Basically low staff, small kitchen, not equipped for large parties, just another hotel bar and grill at the end of the day with high prices for the food.
ATX Olive Company is a restaurant across from our hotel with a cool vibe. We literally just walked across the parking lot from our hotel. There was live music, great drinks and delicious pizza.

The lasagna and broccolini took about 30 minutes to arrive, and by that time, we were ready to leave. The lasagna was decent but packed with spice, and while the broccolini was well-grilled, it was also quite spicy. The level of spice in all the dishes made it hard to fully enjoy the meal, as the competing heat levels didn’t suit our palates.
