We experienced a similar service issue here as we did at another restaurant the next day. It seemed like a young server treated us as if we were an inconvenience. Simple courtesies like saying "You're welcome" were missing, and there was little eye contact or genuine interaction. Maybe it’s just my age showing, but when you’re paying $50 for a meal, a bit of acknowledgment or appreciation—even if just for appearances—makes a big difference. Having worked in the restaurant industry ourselves, we truly value good service. When it feels lacking, we can’t help but share that in our reviews.
Just a quick note: if you’re searching on Google or Yelp, this restaurant is inside a hotel. If you’re not a guest and that doesn’t appeal to you, you might want to choose a different place to eat. The winter green salad with corned beef was flavorful, though I was a bit surprised by the $6 portion of corned beef, which had a bacon-like texture—unexpected but interesting. On the bright side, the service was excellent.
The more expensive items on the menu were lackluster at best. The street tacos were terrible and the meat was dry. The mac and cheese was tasteless along with the bacon in it being rubbery and the chicken was cold and flavorless. The best dish was thechicken strip and fries. The server was nice but didn't order our appetizer so that didn't come. The chair I was seated in wasbroken down and the legs were coming apart visibly. They removed it from the floor after I exchanged it with a seat from anadjoining table. A piece of wood trim fell into the restaurant almost hitting our table. The bar tender ignored my presencewhile she mixed the completely wring drink for a customer. $65 for three meals...you're better off sticking to a chainrestaurant. I gave it two stars because the server was kind and the chicken strips.
I wish I could give this place a zero star rating. My fiancé and I ordered wings, burgers and a Cesar salad. The wings were okay. The burgers were absolutely disgusting, it?s clear they?re just frozen burgers and lucky us we got them burnt, they wereflavorless, the toppings were soggy and I don?t even know if that white stuff is cheese. Avoid this place at all cost. The saladwas another disaster dried up lettuce with random pieces of parmesan cheese. 60$ down the drain
Update: The morning staff was a completely opposite experience. Extremely friendly and polite. You can tell they enjoy what they do. Kookie was amazing. (Original review) The food was good. We ordered an appetizer that was super entertaining! Ourproblem was, as with the other restaurant we ate at the following day, the service. Not sure if it is a generational problem butboth times we experienced the same thing. A young adult who treated us as if we were a bother to him for being there. ?You?rewelcome? must not be something they know how to say. Or eye contact. Or any communication at all. I?m sure my age is showing butif we?re gonna be tossing down $50+ on a meal some act of appreciation would get you so much further. Even if it is fake. We?rebig on tipping as we?ve both had history in the restaurant game. So when you treat us as if we?re unwelcome we will tip as such.
