The restaurant received a mixed bag of reviews, with some diners expressing disappointment in slow service, subpar drinks, and unexpected fees on the bill. Others praised the delicious food, reasonable pricing, and family-friendly atmosphere. Some commented on the music being too loud for conversation. Overall, while some had a negative experience and vowed not to return, others were highly impressed with the food quality, ambiance, and service. The vibe of this restaurant is out of this world; the whole place is decorated in a Japanese theme and it is very detailed. The food was great, and best of all, they have a robot that the waiters use to help them serve food. Our food took a while to come out but I hope that just means it’s cooked clean. I’m so sad that I don’t live near this place because if I did I would definitely be coming back. Four stars is beca... View all feedback.
What Amelia Beer dislikes about Comida- Stanley:
Booked an early dinner, wanted to check this place out for a while. Having read some of the reviews, I was a little reluctant, but we were promptly seated. Ordered drinks, the bar was a little slow, but nothing to complain about. My wife ordered the steak salad, which was good. I ordered the prime burger and sweet potato fries and a salad. Burger was really good, two patties cooked to order, they brought fries instea... View all feedback.
Still an excellent, neighborhood, and family run café and brasserie ( restaurant). Exceptionally welcoming and great food.
Nice place for a dinner alone Surprisingly empty on a Friday night but perhaps too early (19h).
Kid-friendliness: The kids loved the bento box, especially the robot cat that brought our food to the table!
We had dinner at Chi Lin during our first trip to Stanley Marketplace, and it was a great experience. We ordered Bao buns, the veggie ramen from the kids' menu, General Tso's chicken, and Spicy Tan-tanmen Ramen. Both ramen dishes were delicious, rich in flavor, and served in generous portions! The Bao buns were soft, and the pork belly was decadent; we finished them off quickly. However, I wasn't overly impressed with the chicken; I felt it was slightly overcooked, and the sauce could use some improvement. As others have noted, the robot server was entertaining and helpful, and the waitstaff were quite attentive. Overall, if you're in the mood for ramen, I think you'll enjoy your visit to Chi Lin.
