Only on very rare occasions with an easterly wind blowing, you are aware of the sulphur fumes from the nearby oil refinery. However, don’t let this put you off as you will meet and experience real Sicilians who take living seriously! . A restaurant packed with locals and yet the staff were so efficient and hard working they served everyone in good time , without a fuss. The food was exquisite, my mouth waters just thinking about it. Yet if one just wanted a pizza, these were being made at an amazing pace and looked excellent.
