A great experience! The service was also great. I asked for a reservation last minute and they could sit at the bar. Love the atmosphere here, very casual place, but spectacular food. You can sample the hard work from both the bartender and the cook in the food
Experience in cooking table tonight, everything I can be amazing!!! I love every part of it. Fun, interactive, but also personal and private at the same time. Eating was top-notch!
We had a great time in this restaurant! It is small, but has a great atmosphere and excellent service. We sat at the cooking table on the kitchen and could ask for ingredients, and generally conversate with cooking/owner Eli at dinner. Portions are small compared to other restaurants (which they tell you on seating), but they offer an inexpensive tasting menu, with an option that you can sample from a variety of courses. My husband and I shared the tasting menu and were perfectly full after all courses (via Dessert, of course). The menu changes daily, which can be uncomfortable for some, but we found it a nice change of pace. Lacey also had great recommendations for drinks if I could not choose between cocktails. Honey Rose Margarita was what I started, and oh my goodness it was delicious. I always find it a good sign when a restaurant regularly knows the point that the boss/owner knows their names that we have found to be the case here. We will definitely go back!
This is an experience. Going to this place, you need to realize that this is an authentic experience between you and food that comes fresh and fresh and fantastically prepared. Bring your open mind and take the spices the aroma and the tasty you expect. Do not expect this place to be a regular restaurant. Don't! I don't want it to be a regular restaurant. There are many of them in Augusta. If you want to experience unique and quality. Try it here!
My husband and I were doing errands in Augusta and decided to stay for dinner at the end of the day. I got online and inquired about a reservation and received a call back from the owner within 30 minutes. A large group had reserved the main dining areas but there were still seats at the chef's table in the kitchen. We decided to go for it and were not disappointed, to say the least. The food was excellent, as was were the wine selections. What made it a great experience was talking with the chef and learning about the food we were enjoying. This is my our new favorite restaurant in Maine. Don't hesitate to try it.
