A friendly couple who had been eating several times at the Kemer has made us visit this Turkish restaurant. The fact that we didn't come to this address by ourselves, where we know so well in Augsburg, surprised us less than we realized that the Kemer lies in a little road we never travel on. We parked on the right side of the street right in front of the restaurant. Very pleasant. We entered an authentically Turkish-style restaurant. We had a pleasant feeling and looked forward to a new taste experience. The lady at the service welcomed us friendly and offered us the table at the heating, which we found very attentive. At the same time, she brought us the menus we studied attentively. Cold and warm appetizers – including some vegetarian, salads, various main dishes, divided into different categories, such as pizza dishes (hack meat or cheese pide, grill dishes, vegetable dishes, desserts, etc. We needed some more time to consider, but we already ordered the drinks. The white beer for cheap 2.70 euros and the black tea for 2.00 euros were brought immediately. As far as food is concerned, we decided once for a vegetarian mussaka from eggplants, paprika and eggplant with rice, salad and yoghurt and an skender kebap. The finely cut diner meat is traditionally dressed on pasture bread. Under the meat was yogurt, over tomato sauce. But before these very tasty dishes were served, we got a mixed salad that was made with a yogurt dill sauce. We paid 8,90 euros per dish, including salad. The extra portion of rice I ordered because I love Turkish rice so much was not calculated. As dessert we had a “sweet with vanilla ice cream and cream” for 3.50 euros. These were “angel hair”, but without cheese. Who doesn't know, just google. Is very sweet and very tasty, impregnated with a honey tasting syrup. The Kemer is really a very well maintained restaurant. The white walls are decorated with many small carpets and photographs from Turkey. Some of them show Istanbul. We immediately arrived in holiday mood: On the Facebook page we have seen that many Turkish weddings take place in the Kemer. The lady in the service was very friendly. Because it tasted so good, we were here a few days later. This evening there was a larger Turkish society that celebrated a birthday and other tables were occupied. During this second visit we had mixed cold appetizers for 1 person at 6,20 euros, which we shared. To the six different dips and salads, a cigar bread with sheep cheese spinach filling and a rice-filled wine leaf, warm bread was served. My treasure had one of the grilled dishes with minced meat, eggplants, mushrooms on Pide and I once again had the Moussaka in Turkish style. Conclusion: we will definitely come back and recommend the Kemer without restriction. The dishes convince – as you know from Greek dishes – by their simplicity.

Meanwhile, the ambiente - the simple interior without flair taken over by the previous owner has been replaced by comfortable chairs and tables with elegant table cloths and matching curtains, on the walls hanging large pictures of Turkish cities. open in the afternoon and in the evening (until 23.30 a.m., hot kitchen until 22.30 a.m.), on Sundays throughout, Wednesdays rest day.
