Ocean Basket Sandton City

I generally have either calamari and chips or hake and chips at Ocean Basket. It is a hit and miss as it can be fantastic the one day and horrible the next. This time around my calamari hake combo was just right. Perfect affordable quick lunch.

Lovely atmosphere with good fish. It’s like a hidden little gem in the food court. I like eating here on special occasions, it’s simple good food.

Had a phenomenal meal at Ocean Basket Sandton City tonight. I had the 24 prince prawns with a top up of calamari (I haven't had much of an appetite this week and it came back with a vengeance tonight). My bf had the 10 kings with calamari which he also really enjoyed. <br/ <br/ A big thanks to our waiter Eddie who was on point, he was a bit delayed with bringing our bill (which we didn't notice) and apologised for the delay and explained the reason, which was fully understandable. I just found it refreshing to have that kind of service.<br/ <br/ Overall a 10/10 all round (service, ambiance and food)-we'll definitely be back soon.Greg Cohen

If you want a quick and delicious mediterranean type sea food, this is your address. The price quality ratio is very good. I like especially calamari and prawn.

Located at the famous Sandton City mall. They have seating on two floors. Friendly staff. Good service. I had the Pick of the Ocean, platter for 1 person with salad in the side. The platter consist of 6 prince prawns, fish and calamari. The food was very fresh, awesome taste. They server bread with butter on the side too. The quality and quality is very good.
