The Pinetree Restaurant in Atlin is the go-to spot for locals and visitors alike, offering a warm and cozy atmosphere with hearty, home-cooked meals. Despite limited hours, the friendly service and interesting menu with options like Asian cuisine and tasty burgers make it a worthwhile stop. The communal tables foster engaging conversations, while the generous portions and fair prices ensure a satisfying dining experience. From breakfast with the regulars to lunch and dinner featuring a variety of dishes, the Pinetree is a hidden gem worth discovering in this charming northern BC town.
My family and I took a drive from Whitehorse to Atlin, and stopped at the Pinetree for lunch. As this is the only restaurant in town, it was packed. When we finally got a table the waitress let us know that there would be approx 45 min wait for our food due to how busy it was. This wasn't a huge deal to us as we weren't in a hurry. The food was average, considering the prices were on the higher end for a small town diner. Considering how busy it was I would say the service was pretty good, there was only one waitress and she did her best to attend to everyone.
Visited Atlin yesterday and caught a glimpse of life in northern BC. After driving a couple hours to get there it was time for some lunch and there aren't many options to discover. A local told us the Pinetree was open so over we went to scout out the place. Seemed like a spot for locals and coffee. We were warmly greeted and told to grab a table. The wait staff was friendly and made some suggestions from the menu. We all went for the meatball sub special and soup or fries. Well, I have to say, the sub was delicious and the cabbage and corned beef soup was just as good. Love it when a local hangout serves up more than just fries, coffee and stale muffins.Enjoy the views in town, the stories of yesteryear and the substantial servings at the Pinetree.
The atmosphere is friendly and the menu has options for breakfast and lunch. The Thai menu is no longer available, and the restaurant is open from 7 AM to 2:30 PM.
You will be welcomed by a friendly staff and delicious home-cooked lunches (I didn't have the chance to try their breakfast) at this authentic Northern restaurant.
The cozy and unpretentious café/restaurant serves traditional home-cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the morning, you'll find a bustling crowd of regulars, including local business owners and socializing locals, enjoying coffee and eggs. The menu offers classic, comforting dishes that are satisfying and familiar, reminiscent of meals prepared by your own mother. They also offer takeout options for those on the go.
