Had the Pad Thai it was excellent i asked for it a little spicy it came out great. Service was great. Only thing that bothered me was there wasn't any prices on the menu at the entrance. I had to ask for menu with prices before we went in. Thank you Lillies, nice job. View all feedback.
What Lindsay M doesn't like about Lillies Asian Cuisine:
Sadly, two stars is the best I can give this review. We love Chinese and Japanese food, so we thought staying in the Golden Nugget and having Lillies be open late was a great advantage for us. The food did not live up to any expectations. We ordered the shrimp tempura roll, yellowtail roll, and the beef lo mein to split. The sushi came out first. I haven't been here since covid. The service was great. We went during happy hour and they have a decent selection and good prices. We ordered a salmon roll, philly roll and a shrimp tempura roll. The fish was fresh and they had good flavor. The frustrating thing is that they weren't rolled tight enough so they fell apart when you picked them up. I'd almost not bother with sushi if I went there again. I really enjoyed the chicken dumplings and vegetable spring rolls. We also ordered a special pineapple fried rice with chicken and pork. It was kind of cold so that was disappointing. The pineapple had grill marks on it so not sure if it was sitting for awhile. It came out super quick. It was definitely luke warm. The flavors might have been ok but I was focusing on the temp so didn't really eat much of it. What I did eat needed soy sauce because it was bland if you took a bite without pineapple.
Can't go wrong with sea bass and clams with black bean sauce. Expensive but hey, you're in AC :
UPDATE: The GM of the restaurant, Danny, called me this evening I am very impressed with how they treated me in response to this post. I was invited to come back to dine, compliments of the GM, and they said they would rectify the problem with my points. : I no longer have negative feelings because of their response and I genuinely believe they care about their customers experience. Therefore instead of writing a separate/updated review, I changed the stars from 1 to 3 here because I didn't want the one star to factor into their overall rating. However, for integrity and transparency, I will not alter my original review below: Very disappointed annoyed. They're conveniently located on the casino floor, so I popped in right before they closed. Stayed at the Golden Nugget for my birthday week. Had Kani Salad app House fried rice for entree. The Kani imitation crab salad was mostly sliced cucumbers. See picture, you had to find the crab salad buried underneath. The rice was bland. Had to ask for soy sauce to try to add flavor I don't normally use soy sauce ever. Very interesting to have no flavor when the rice had 3 different proteins- pork, chicken beef. But, it wasn't greasy, that's a plus. The service was ok. My bill was $32 for these 2 dishes a coke. But why the 1 star? First, I started feeling sick while I was eating my rice. I wrapped it to go, thinking I was just eating too much, it's a huge serving, probably meant to share. Reminds me, they should have smaller size offerings for solo diners! I proceeded to be sick half the night. Didn't get to rest until 3 am. Second, I'm a Landry select cardholder. I gave my card to collect points for my visit. I checked my balance in the morning too sick to check the night before no points were listed. I sent a message to Landry about it as well, but the rules state no points will be adjusted after you pay the bill. So, I'm apparently SOL on their error. So let's recap: mediocre food taste service, food made me sick they didn't apply my check to my loyalty card. :
Sadly, two stars is the best I can give this review. We love Chinese and Japanese food, so we thought staying in the Golden Nugget and having Lillies be open late was a great advantage for us. The food did not live up to any expectations. We ordered the shrimp tempura roll, yellowtail roll, and the beef lo mein to split. The sushi came out first. The yellowtail was not good at all and the shrimp tempura roll was ok to good. The saddest part of our meal was the beef lo mein. It did not have one ounce of flavor. We both had to pour on soy sauce that didn't help that much either. I heard they have great happy hour specials and the egg rolls are good...maybe that is what they need to specialize in
Came here on our way out of town. We don't love restaurants so much in the middle of the casino. Heavy smoke scent and the ambiance of slot machines just isn't our style. Our waitress was very sweet, however the constant water filling by all staff members felt a bit overkill. The food was all around tasty. My husband loved his general tsos and the fried pot stickers were delicious. I ordered two sushi rolls and unfortunately they didn't arrive until my husband was halfway through his dinner. So the timing here was a bit disappointing and a bit slower than typical AC service considering the place was pretty empty and many employees were working. I'm not sure we'd be back given the overall experience, but hope it improves for future guests!
