Very good BBQ. Very reasonable prices. Disappointed that alligator is only served as sausage. Po'boys taken off menu. Inside and outside seating. Picnic table style outside. The meat is smoked outside and smells so wonderful as you walk near. There are 2 huge bars. A stage is inside for entertainment. It doesn't offer many Cajun dishes but is excellent for BBQLarge portions. Very nice waitress.Definitely worth a visi... View all feedback.
What Hopslim doesn't like about Bourre:
This restaurant is a pleasant place with tasty food, but the draft beer selection could use more variety - there are too many hoppy options. However, finding a Narragansett tall boy for only $2 is a rare and appealing find. The music could also use some diversification, as it seems repetitive and lacking a certain spark. Overall, a good spot but could use some improvements in the beer and music departments. View all feedback.
I am not a reviewer by any means but after what my husband and I experienced last night I felt I had to write this. At first I was very thrilled with this restaurant . It has a great atmosphere...and our server Nick was absolutely fantastic. Always making sure we were, ok refilling our waters and checking in on us. We were there while a big event was going on, so we expected some delay in our food and drinks...but nothing like we experienced here. Our cocktails took about 45 minutes...and our food took nearly 1 and a half hours. Had it not been for the music and the wonderful treatment we received from our server we would have probably left. When we finally ate and were finished we decided we would stay for the music and drink at the bar...after some more waiting for drinks we observed some absolutely DISGUSTING behavior from who I can only assume was the owner of the establishment. Our server from before was walking through the room when the owner stormed up to him and screamed in his face...absolutely berated him in front of all the patrons in the restaurant. It was very loud, but it sounded like he asked him to not speak to him in that way, and he proceeded to scream that if he did not do what he told him to do he would rip him out of his shirt and drag him to the office I was mortified to see a manager treating his employees in such a terrible way. My husband happened to cross our servers path when he went to the restroom...he told him it all started because he took a 10 minute break when his last table left to make a phone call...and that he was told to not come back. The food service industry has taken such a nose dive and this is a perfect example of why...people who work in the food service industry are human beings! Not machines or animals...it 's no wonder good employees end up quitting these jobs more and more. We will NEVER be going back to this place. Just another business with some really good potential being destroyed by awful management. Absolutely despicable behavior.
The restaurant was clean with lovely outdoor seating options. The Cajun cuisine was delicious, generous portions, and reasonably priced. The service was top-notch. I would definitely return in the future.

I never would have imagined it, but it's true - my partner and I got married at Bourre! The menu was fantastic and the staff were exceptional. Charlie, the owner, was incredibly kind, accommodating, and professional. He made the planning process so easy. Kip, Laura, and Steve, the managers, not only flawlessly accommodated our 150 guests, but they did it with care and passion. If you're looking for a large, exciting, fresh, and fun venue in Atlantic City, this is the place to be. Don't hesitate to reach out to them - you won't be disappointed. We love Cajun food and BBQ so we stopped in. Pretty casual dining inside or outside, so we decided to sit at the bar. We started with their cornbread and wouldn’t recommend it. It was more of a corn cake as the texture was all wrong for cornbread with very little corn taste. We had their ribs with sides of Mac and cheese, Cole slaw and collard greens. The ribs were great and I ordered them dry with sauce on the side. They came out with the sauce all over the ribs which was super messy to eat. The Mac and cheese and collards were delicious but the Cole slaw was not. Take note- it is a vinegar based cole slaw so if you prefer a mayo based don’t get it. They should note that on the menu or mention it when you order. Overall a good dinner and we will definitely return but learn from our mistakes.
