This was my first visit to Atlanta, and Sweet Auburn was the first restaurant our group tried together. The food was fantastic! We shared a variety of appetizers, including the pimento cheese wontons, which were outstanding, along with fried mac and cheese, cornbread, and two different wing flavors. Everything was delicious! I ordered the beef brisket, which was perfectly fatty and incredibly tasty, along with mac and cheese, fries, and baked beans. Coming from New Jersey, we were eager to experience authentic southern BBQ, and this place truly delivered. I would highly recommend it!
Wow! Frank truly knows how to elevate the dining experience. He suggested that we add a runny egg and cheese to our BBQ sandwiches, and we were like, “Absolutely!” The pulled pork was amazing on its own, but things got even better when he recommended we add Blaze hot Doritos to our sandwiches—something he provided right on the spot. There’s no way to fully capture the incredible combination of flavors we enjoyed with that Dorito and egg topping! This was hands down the best BBQ sandwich I’ve ever had. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and they have awesome beer specials for just $2. But what really stood out was this lively bald guy who made our meal unforgettable!
I was staying at the Highland Inn when I discovered that Sweet Auburn was right next door. A good friend of mine had them cater his wedding, and I loved the food then. So, we decided to try it for dinner, and it was fantastic! I ordered the shrimp scampi appetizer and the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese, and everything was delicious. The beer selection was impressive, and we each had two cocktails. One standout was the "Don't Smoke Whatever" cocktail, which was not only tasty but also visually impressive as our bartender prepared it with a blowtorch to burn a log of wood! This place has officially become our new favorite spot, and I can't wait to come back many more times!
The bulgogi salad is great! Christina was a great waitress. I’d recommend this establishment to anyone looking for quality food in a relaxed atmosphere.
I have recently converted to Vegetarian and this place is next to a Vegan spot which is where I was headed.... the food smelled so good and offered Vegetable plate.. and it was so delicious!!!
