Since it was... read more Per a friend's Meetup event, I went and shared good food and memories with old and new friends. Also, Labanese food was something I needed to try. Since it was a sizable group, we all opted for the family style dinner where we were able to sample lots of things for only $17.95. You can then re-order whatever dish and however often you want. There were a few salad selections (tabbouleh, the Mediterranean , meat choices (chicken a la beef, lemon chicken , grape leaves, falafel, artichoke hearts, hummus, baba ghanoush, chicken Florentine, and some others I can't remember. The owner was superbly friendly and was so adorb doing his balancing act (balancing stuff on his head while he shakes his body . He also threw in free soft drinks and dessert for our table since it was a first visit for some of us. The bday boy of the group *ahem Elijah* got a free drink and dance from Nicola as well. : There was also a belly dancer that came later in the evening. After she left, music was then turned on and Nicola made everyone dance. It was the cupid shuffle and such songs. Nicola's has its own parking lot which spills over to the side and back of the building as well. So in summary, the food and serve (especially this was def on par and great! Nicola made everyone feel welcomed and like family.

I went with a big group that had prebooked They brought out the food to our tables family style, so we constantly had all of these yummy dishes showing up. The flavors were so good. I could make a meal of their delicious hummus on its own. The owner is fantastic. He greets everyone as you enter like you are family returning home. When the dancers start he joins them and invites the crowd to join in. Don't be surprised if all of a sudden the middle eastern music stops, Michael Jackson starts playing and your waiter takes the floor to perform a dance routine! It's like one big party there! The owner sometimes serves bottled beverages himself on his head! Then he will place your glass on his head while the drink is poured and serve it to you right from his noggin. He has mad balancing skills and a mean shimmy in the dance floor. Don't be put off by the old decor. I think this place has been here a long time and is probably family owned. Check out the paintings that cover the walls, eat some great food and shake and shimmy!

I would give 3 star... read more Went here for dinner tonight(11-21-2015). I have been to this place long time ago but I forgot the fact that I really didn't enjoy the food. I would give 3 stars for food. To start we ordered hummus, baba ghanoush and stuffed grape leaves. Appetizers were pretty good. I would say 4/5. For the main dish I ordered lemon chicken and my husband got combination shawarma. The lemon chicken was juicy and cooked well but lacked flavors. I would give 3.5/5 Shawarma was not authentic. My husband didn't like it at all. 2.5/5. So basically tonights visit was just a reminder why we didn't go here for past two years. I give 4 stars just for the ambiance, belly dancer and Nicola's (the owner) very friendly personality. Given all this I would definitely try this place third time. Hopefully the third time will be a charm.
