I booked at table at Longleaf for my birthday, the table was prepared and ready once i got there and the hosts that day were super nice. The atmosphere is very chill, yet elevated. Definitely booking again!
New Menu for this season didn't have great choices like the Summer selection. Lobster bisque was served cold and didn't have any flavor. Drinks were decent.
Repeat customer. Ambiance and food are alway good. The salmon blt was delish! Waitress was awesome.
I don't quite understand changing to a Holiday lights menu in November. Not really a lunch menu now. Dinner items , with lots of seafood, make for an expensive lunch. Will not come again until after menu goes back to lunch choices. I am a volunteer and would like to be able to say wonderful things about Longleaf. Can't.
Longleaf restaurant offers fantastic menu options, improved from previous years. The service was slow, but the staff were excellent at communicating. Some reviews noted slower service due to a shortage of staff and limited menu options. The atmosphere is beautiful, especially with holiday lights. The food quality was praised, with some disappointment in specific menu items. Despite long wait times for food, the experience was enjoyable, especially for special occasions like birthdays. Overall, Longleaf is a charming spot on the ABG property, offering a diverse menu, great ambiance, and friendly staff.

Fantastic spot for a lunch on a pretty day. I love to eat on the patio and enjoy the beauty of the gardens. Smashburger is delicious!
The kitchen was extremely slow. The highlight of the meal was the delicious donut dessert.
This restaurant always provides a great experience. It's fun for the whole family and the food is amazing.
The atmosphere was fantastic with excellent service, but the menu options were limited.

I had an early dinner at Longleaf today, and I must say the salmon sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. My daughter ordered the burger, and after trying a bite, I can say it was excellent too. Our waiter faced some challenges with our table, but he stayed positive and handled everything with grace. We joked about the small mishaps and hoped he could unwind afterwards. My family and I left a generous tip to recognize his professionalism and resilience.
I had an incredible experience celebrating my mother’s 81st birthday at Longleaf this weekend. The service, food, and drinks were all exceptional. Despite being short-staffed like many places during Covid, it never affected the quality of the food or the friendliness of the staff. Make sure to order drinks at the bar—we enjoyed about four rounds of the spicy Paloma, which was fantastic. We tried the shrimp and grits, the steak, and nearly every appetizer on the menu. I highly recommend everything!
The ambiance is what drew us to Longleaf. After exploring the garden, we started feeling hungry. Typically, we find that museum dining offers average food, so we anticipated a similar experience here—but we were pleasantly surprised! The food at Longleaf is far from the usual museum fare; it’s more like something you'd expect from a high-end restaurant. We began with a hummus platter for the table, which I assumed would be small, but it turned out to be quite generous, featuring fresh vegetables that looked as if they were harvested right from the garden. I ordered the mixed vegetables, expecting them to be mediocre, but once again, I was wrong—the dish exceeded my expectations. My girlfriend chose the chicken sandwich, which was beautifully presented, and she declared it delicious. I can also vouch for the fries; they were fantastic. Overall, everything was exceptional—definitely not your standard museum or garden dining experience!
The staff were exceptionally kind and friendly, making for a delightful dining experience overall. The food was fresh and tasty, albeit a bit pricey. The peach cobbler with ice cream tasted homemade and was absolutely phenomenal. I truly enjoyed sitting on the patio and admiring the gardens while I dined.
After a long day at the Botanical Gardens, we decided to stop at Longleaf. Booking a table for five (including two kids) through OpenTable was quite straightforward. The restaurant's excellent reputation made me eager to give it a try. The food did not disappoint; I was particularly impressed by the kids' meals, which were small, affordable, and surprisingly creative. I ordered a Chicken Caesar salad, which was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, reminiscent of dishes from a much more upscale restaurant than a café at a botanical garden. However, the service left something to be desired; we had to wait over 30 minutes for our meals. This would have been more manageable if we had not been dining with two young children. On the positive side, the kids' meals were served first, and I appreciated that gesture. Overall, Longleaf is a hidden gem—perfect for a date or an elegant lunch outing. Just be prepared for subpar service, as it seems to be currently understaffed.
