Contribute FeedbackLongleaf restaurant offers fantastic menu options, improved from previous years. The service was slow, but the staff were excellent at communicating. Some reviews noted slower service due to a shortage of staff and limited menu options. The atmosphere is beautiful, especially with holiday lights. The food quality was praised, with some disappointment in specific menu items. Despite long wait times for food, the experience was enjoyable, especially for special occasions like birthdays. Overall, Longleaf is a charming spot on the ABG property, offering a diverse menu, great ambiance, and friendly staff.
The atmosphere is what brought us to Longleaf. We were at the garden and started to get hungry. We're used to museums having food that's about average so we figured this would be about the same, we were wrong! This food is not your typical museum tierfood, this is higher end restaurant food. We ordered a hummus platter for rhe table which I expected to be small, it was not. Itcame out very large with fresh vegetables that looked like they might have been grown at the garden. I ordered the mixedvegetables which I expected to be underwhelming, but again was not. My girlfriend ordered a chicken sandwich which was presentedextremely well and she said it was delicious. I can attest to the fries as well. Everything was great, not your typicalmuseum/garden restaurant!
We stopped at Longleaf after a long day in the Botanical Gardens. We made a reservation on OpenTable for 5 (including two kids), which was fairly easy. The reputation of this place proceeded it, which was part of the reason I was so excited to try it. Thefood was really good, especially the kids meals, which were small and affordable yet interesting and well thought out. I got aChicken Caesar salad and it was delicious. It was also presented very well and reminded me from of something from a much fancierrestaurant than a botanical gardens cafe. The downside of this place was the service, we waited for over 30 minutes for ourmeal. This would have been less of a problem if we were not dining with two young kids. They did bring out the kids meals firstand I appreciated this thoughtfulness. All in all, this a gem. It's a great place for a date or a fancy lunch. Don't expectgood service though. It seems to be poorly staffed at the moment.
I had an early dinner here today and I must say the salmon sandwich was one of the best I?ve ever eaten. My daughter had the burger and I had a piece of it and it was very good also. Our waiter was having a hard time with our table. But he kept his headup and made the best of it. We made fun of all the mishaps and hoped he relaxed. My family and I left him a good tip for beingprofessional and not letting our service get the best of him.
Had an amazing experience for my mothers 81st birthday this weekend. The service the food and the drinks were all top-notch. They are just as short staffed as everyone else during Covid? But it didn?t show in the quality of the food or the kindness ofthe servers? and my goodness order drinks at the bar! We had about four rounds of the spicy Paloma. Amazing.. we had the shrimpand grits, the steak, And almost every appetizer on the menu. Recommend everything!
Staff were extremely kind and friendly and the dining experience was lovely overall. The food was fresh and delicious, if pricy. The peach cobler with ice cream tasted home made and was phenomenal. I really enjoyed sitting on the patio and looking at thegardens as I ate.
