Excellent fresh sushi. Just be weary of the long wait for dine in or pickup during Friday and Saturday evening. They definitely need more staff or more workspace on these days. It gets packed!
Bartender was very rude when I came in to pickup an order that I had made online. Would not listen to me when I said I was their customer. Would expect better customer service. Will not be back Food was also mediocre.
Have you ever just craved a massive amount of sushi that gets served to you on a boat? No? Just me? Well you will after this review. Ocean wave offers such phenomenal sushi its crazy that not many people know about this restaurant. If you get their early enough (around 5 5:30 p.m. the parking situation is not bad at all you can park behind the restaurant and walk up to the main diner. It's a quiet restaurant with a full sized bar and sushi making station (the official name of this escapes me . They have roughly 4 5 decent sized booths that can sit 4 people (up to six if you really squeeze in and one coveted window booth spot. Now, let's talk food. This is a THAI/SUSHI fusion restaurant that does not disappoint. The sushi is pretty dang good. They offer two different types of sushi boats one that is $55 and the other that is $65. Before you gasp in horror at the price let me just say it is a lot of food. My husband is a black hole and will literally devour his entire meal and then tell me he is still hungry. But after this sushi boat he was stuffed! We also ordered an appetizer (gyoza in a peanut thai sauce (super good and the sushi boats came with your choice of miso, egg drop, or hot and sour soup. Please refer to the photos below and enjoy!
Immediately seated on a Friday night no wait! Food was great, we had appetizers and all ordered sushi. Everything tasted great and service was super speedy.
Our group ordered 2 noodle dishes to share. One with shrimp. One with tofu. When the dishes arrived. One person started to put some noodles in her plate, when we realized they were both tofu and not shrimp. We explained to the manager who confirmed with the waitress that we ordered one with shrimp but then proceeded to say why did you eat it? When we didn 't. She made us put the small amount taken out back into the plate for her to take back and made us feel that it was our fault for them messing up the order. Very poor customer service. We didn 't want extra noodles and didn 't expect to keep it. But she was rude and acted like we were trying to scam them for extra food. Will not go back there due to this. And have never been treated this way over a small amount of noodles that was the kitchens error not customer. Maybe they should focus more on making customers feel respected and not counting noodle cost.
