1st Wok - Atlanta
1st Wok
Description
**A Mixed Bag at 1st Wok**
1st Wok presents a culinary experience that elicits a spectrum of reactions. While some diners celebrate the restaurant’s hot and sour soup as a standout, many express disappointment with the quality of dishes, often citing pre-cooked, microwaved offerings. Service inconsistencies and logistical hiccups—such as order accuracy and closing times—have left several patrons frustrated. Additionally, the use of plastic utensils and Styrofoam plates during dine-in creates an unwelcoming atmosphere despite the food's flavor. In essence, 1st Wok might delight some, but for others, it remains an underwhelming choice in the bustling Atlanta dining scene.

I absolutely love this restaurant; I've been coming here since I was in a high chair! Their hot and sour soup is the best in Atlanta. I've tried countless versions of this dish, and I can confidently say that 1st Wok offers the top hot and sour soup.
I've been dining here for over 10 years, and the food has never let me down! Their shrimp fried rice and chow mein are fantastic.
For some reason they’re still using tiny plastic forks and Styrofoam plates for dine in. I asked why to my waitress but didn’t really get an explanation. Trying to get through my egg foo young with plastic fork kept breaking. The food is tasty however.
The rice and pork were stale, dry, and tough. The portion sizes were small for the prices charged. I won't be returning; this was my first and last visit.
