The food was d... read more I went here for a date with my husband and it was amazing as always. I have been here multiple times and the experience is always off the charts. The food was delicious and steaming hot, the drinks were great, and the overall atmosphere was romantic. I try to go to different upscale restaurants occasionally and this one will stay on my list for when I am craving a nice medium cooked steak : .

First, we basically had to get permission to be able to wear dress shorts in the middle of summer which you were very accommodating for (even though you are in a hotel lobby) we felt it was an odd request but your rules, so we asked for permission. We were very excited to try FIA, the menu looked pretty good. The food and drinks were good and what lacked it for us was the service. First impression is valet was nowhere to be found and limited parking and then we get seated, and our server was Meghan. I am sorry to say that Meghan left us with no desire to return. Between our group I am sure our table bill was at least $1200. There were 4 couples and a child, we asked for each couple to get their own bill which she never asked from the beginning. She brought us our bill and 2 items were on our bill that belonged to someone else and when my husband asked about, she said Well it's too hard to fix it now, can't you guys just Zelle or Venmo each other? This was rude!!!! Then proceeded to back comment and say this should have been told to me at the beginning that you wanted to split a bill. In my opinion and good server would ask that question and not expect to be told. I am sorry, but we eat all over Atlanta with the same group and it has NEVER been an issue. It's quite normal for people to split bills. I understand if she made a mistake and just apologized or tried but we did not appreciate the attitude given on our way out. So unfortunately, it was the last impression and left us with no desire to return to FIA.

Perhaps if they were large I wouldn't have mind as much. Despite two of us ordering this, the meal was still fantastic!

We sat near the kitchen and it was a warm and co... read more We love everything about Fia. We just celebrated my birthday there over teh weekend and everything was amazing! We sat near the kitchen and it was a warm and cozy feel you would expect while visiting with a favorite family. The food was amazing! We had the pork belly, charred calamari, gnocchi, and bread service. Highly recommend the bread with the gnocchi to enjoy the wonderful mushroom sauce. My husband and friends had the short rib and there are no word to describe the spectacular presentation but I can tell you our pups will be enjoying the bones for some time to come. My scallops were cooked to perfection. Oh! I am a white wine drinker and lean toward mineralogy. Fia offers three white wines that have amazing mineralogy and pair perfectly with seafood. We continued to enjoy our conversation in the cozy bar area with sofas. Every detail is so thoughtful toward conversation and provides a memorable service. Not surprising that Fia and The Burgess Hotel are owned by a husband and wife! What a team!
