Der Biergarten offers a mix of reviews for their authentic German cuisine. Many diners rave about the delicious food and excellent service, with standout dishes like the bratwurst and jaegerschnitzel. Some customers appreciate the extensive beer selection and welcoming atmosphere. However, others have criticized the overcooked schnitzel and disappointing portion sizes. Despite mixed opinions, the restaurant's ambiance and knowledgeable staff seem to leave a positive impression on most guests. Whether you're a German food enthusiast or looking to try something new, Der Biergarten offers a unique dining experience in Atlanta.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was extremely impressed. The food was delicious, and we were seated at a cozy table in the corner with exceptional service. We decided to try the platter with all the entrees since we were unsure of what to order, and it did not disappoint. Despite the platter being intended for 6 people, there were only 4 of us dining and we ended up taking home 4 full meals. The beer selection was also fantastic. Parking was easy with a garage located directly across the street. If you enjoy German cuisine and beer, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

We decided to try some German cuisine for a change, braving a 3-block walk in 20-degree weather to get to the restaurant. Upon arrival, we had to climb several sets of stairs to reach our table. We were seated promptly, but were surprised to be placed in the chilly enclosed patio instead of the main dining area, which appeared to have available space. Our waiter provided excellent service, offering detailed explanations of the menu. We ordered a large pretzel and a breaded pork filet, which was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we enjoyed German chocolate cake. Overall, our experience was decent, with the waiter doing his best despite being stretched thin between running the bar and attending to tables.

The beer was absolutely wonderful. Excellent selection. The food underwhelming. Ordered the Bratwurst for $12 and was given half a brat and bun. Service was neglectful and rude.

Such a good experience. It was very busy at the restaurant and the staff were working so hard to get orders, drinks, and check on their customers. I appreciate all their hard work. For dinner, we had wienerschnitzel, potatoes, red cabbage, a brautwurst, and a giant pretzel. All the food was delicious. The beers are great!

Searched up the nearest Biergarten and happened upon Der Biergarten for a quick beer and a start to the night. To access you have to walk up a few flights of steps and I didn?t see a wheel chair accessible area so that?s a thumbs down foraccessibility. The outdoor patio area was wide and there was plenty of picnic style table seating that you can grab a beer andsit at. They have standing ledges too if you?re not going to eat. They have two bar sections and games available to play freeof charge. You just need to ask one of the bartenders for the items to play. I got the Wurstplatte which comes in two sizes:appetizer and entre and it was exactly what I wanted. The bread that came with it was well toasted and the assortment ofmustards made each bite as good as the last. Come here for .5L or go hard with a 1L beer. Good price points for a Biergartenand they do not skimp on the beer.
