Hidden in Atlanta, this intimate, semi-casual spot delivers inventive, seasonally changing cuisine with impeccable presentation and standout desserts. Chef-driven tasting menus — a wallet-friendly three-course happy hour and an ambitious nine-course chef’s tasting with wine pairings — showcase balanced, creative flavors and friendly, attentive service that accommodates dietary needs. Sit at the bar or chef’s table to watch the kitchen; outdoor seating is limited. Expect a lively, sometimes noisy atmosphere ideal for special occasions and food-focused nights rather than quiet conversation.

Wow! This was my wife's second visit, and each time has been an incredible dining experience from beginning to end. If all restaurants infused the same level of love and passion into their work as this one does, the world would be a better place. We opted for the 9-course meal, which was truly outstanding. The chefs are not only skilled but also have a great sense of humor, and you can definitely tell they're passionate about their craft. They’re also very accommodating if you have dietary restrictions, customizing your selections as needed. If you choose the 9-course option, be prepared for a 90-120 minute experience. Highly recommended!
One of the best restaurants in Atlanta, without a doubt. It’s a perfect blend of exceptional quality and good value for its price. I passed by Better Half many times before finally deciding to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. The decor has a semi-casual, homey feel that makes you feel relaxed, especially on a Thursday afternoon. If you're interested in watching the chefs prepare your meal, I recommend sitting at the bar. Otherwise, you can enjoy the pleasant Atlanta fall weather on one of their few outdoor tables. The menu is creative and well-executed; no single flavor overpowers the dish, and nothing is overly bold or overpowering. They change their menu regularly, so it’s definitely worth visiting more than once. Their three-course happy hour tasting menu, available from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM for just $35, is a fantastic deal and might just be the perfect introduction to this hidden gem.
Overall, the meal was impressive, especially the desserts, and I would rate the food a solid 4 out of 5 for its price point. However, it's important to note that this rating might be a bit misleading. While the restaurant showcases creative combinations, there weren't many adventurous dishes that might turn away less-experimental diners—most of the offerings were generally well-received. The presentation of the dishes was exceptional, making them quite appealing for those who enjoy sharing their dining experiences on Instagram. As a Southern man marrying a Colombian woman, I particularly appreciated the unique flavor profiles created by the head chef, a Southern gentleman, and his Costa Rican wife. Service was attentive, with frequent drink refills and detailed explanations of each dish. However, I was expecting more engaging conversation from the staff, especially given the way the restaurant markets itself on its website. Additionally, the bar stools could use some improvement; they weren’t very comfortable for a meal lasting over 90 minutes. A metal bar to rest your feet would be a nice touch. I see this as a restaurant to visit for special occasions—ideal for a romantic dinner once or twice a year. It may not be perfect, but I believe each visit will provide a consistently enjoyable experience.
Really good food at this small place that you could drive by. The flavors that they put together in each dish is fantastic. I like that they change the menu based on the seasons. I like how the sous chefs bring out the food and explain it to you. At least they did for us. Unique.
