Feedback
Agave captures diners with a cozy, southwest-themed decor and a commendable menu, showcasing highlights like the grilled corvina with lobster risotto and flavorful enchiladas. While many praise the quality of the food and attentive service, experiences vary; issues such as loud patrons and inconsistent drink quality persist. Some dishes, like the margaritas, miss the mark, while others—like homemade guacamole and mac and cheese—delight. Despite occasional complaints about ambience or meal spicing, returning patrons appreciate the restaurant's vibrancy and promise for enjoyable dining, making it a notable stop for Tex-Mex enthusiasts.
The chips here were crispy and crunchy but not oddly not warm. The salsa was slightly better than average. I’m glad they gave chips salsa for free despite being an upper scale restaurant. We got the street corn as well and honestly it could’ve used more seasoning/spices (like some Tajin). The enchiladas had tender and long-sliced vegetables. The red sauce had a unique, but strong flavor that overpowered the others, so just spread it out with a fork. Really yummy! The pasta was solid but mediocre — just sauce and basil. The beans on the side tasted normal. They have valet parking and the interior is very cozy. There’s a table for two next to the fireplace, so if you’re making reservations for a date night then I’d recommend asking for that table!
I could say a lot, instead I'll use one word to describe my experience with the food, the chef, the wait staff and that word is phenomenal.
James, our server, was very in tune with the needs of the table. He was not intrusive but personable and knowledgeable of the menu and how to entice his guests. No one was ever parched from empty glasses, and all courses were timely, delivered with ease, and hot and fresh, but full of flavor.
Nice quaint restaurant. Not busy on a Monday night. The margarita they have won awards for was okay, nothing great. It was definitely high alcohol and a sizable drink. The chips and salsa were good and the meatballs were excellent!
This place is AWESOME. I was there with a group for my birthday and everyone LOVED their appetizers and meals. The special for the day was the seafood pasta with shrimp and a lobster tail. It was so DELICIOUS! The service was also SUPERB! Anderson was thebest! I will definitely return!
