the first time here and it was pretty good for the greatest. I had received the tsunami trio, which consisted of 2 tacos and one side. I choose the baja fish taco, which was excellent and the garnel tempura taco, which was not so great due to the overlaid garnel and the excessive sauce. the side of the Yuca-Fries were fantastic! another person got the aloha taco and chipotle lime chicken tacos they loved, but the sid... What joaquin peavy doesn't like about Taqueria Tsunami:
I wouldnt wish this food on anyone of color, with the ethnic background etc. The food will stick to the toilet on the way out just like w.e gunk sticks to the tables View all feedback.
The dining experience was excellent as usual, despite the restaurant being busy. Our server, Sara, was very pleasant. I highly recommend trying the avocado egg rolls - they may not sound appetizing, but they are delicious! I could easily devour 10 of them.
The food took almost an hour to arrive at our table, and our server/bartender did not return to explain the delay or refill our drinks, which had been empty for 30 minutes. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and appeared to have been sitting out for a while. It was unappetizing and looked terrible. The person who brought us our food was rude and tossed the plates down on our table before walking away without asking if we needed anything else. Our server seemed more focused on the bar guests than on us, as he took a long time to return to our table. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant. If the bartender is unable to handle both the bar and serving tables, they should prioritize one over the other. I would not recommend dining at this establishment based on my unpleasant experience.
This restaurant is fantastic. Make sure to visit when you are in town. The flavors are incredibly fresh and clean. It is rare to find such a great Latin American fusion restaurant like this one.
We finally decided to try the city centre for this fantastic fusion of Mexican and Asian food! We both got a number of different types of tacos and a mixed drink, which was also great. Tables were sticky and servers were not the most attentive. A great place to eat in downtown!
One of my favorite places in Athens. The concept of a Mexican and Asian fusion restaurant is a great idea executed perfectly by Taqueria Tsunami. Every time I go there, I ALWAYS order the Asian Nachos. Imagine this: Crackers from your Chinese Takeout?but in the shape and size of a Nacho. The pulled pork and queso on top make this easily my favorite dish ever. Sometimes I order the Taco entree, sometimes I get the Tuna Bowl, but I always start off the the Asian Nachos. As for the service, they are very quick and efficient. Plus they are super kind and nice whenever you come in. The way they call you whenever a table is open is pretty efficient. One night, I was with a group of friends. While we waited to get our tables, they let us go across the street to go to the Flanagan?s Pub. At Flanagans, we played a round of Billiards until they gave us a call telling us that our table is ready. My friends and family say I?m a guy that?s easy to please, and this restaurant easily pleased me 100%.
