I went to this restaurant and tried to use the drive-thru. She was incredibly sweet and provided excellent service at a very clean restaurant with a positive atmosphere. The sandwich I had was amazing - the best Subway sandwich I've had in a long time. Pam definitely deserves recognition for her exceptional service!

We had placed our sandwich orders using the Subway ap... read more My fiancé and I visited the Subway located inside the Walmart in Athens, Tennessee, on September 24, 2023. We had placed our sandwich orders using the Subway app while waiting in line at the Walmart checkout, so by the time we arrived at Subway, our sandwiches were already made. Unfortunately, both of our sandwiches were cold when we sat down to eat. My fiancé’s turkey sandwich was supposed to have extra mayonnaise, but there was barely a drop on it, prompting her to ask for a cup of mayonnaise. To our dismay, the mayonnaise bottle was empty, and instead of replacing it, the staff seemed reluctant to refill it. They spent an extended period trying to scrape out the last bits from the bottle by banging it on the counter. As we were eating, we noticed one of the Subway managers, a blonde woman, sitting in the corner of the dining area very close to our table, getting cozy with a Walmart employee named Joey. His behavior was inappropriate, and she was vaping the entire time. It was alarming to see her playing with her hair and returning to the food prep area without washing her hands afterward. This was quite off-putting and not something anyone wants to witness while trying to enjoy a meal. Additionally, she closed off the back dining room upon our arrival by placing a table and chair in front of the drink machine, blocking access even though there were still two tables of customers eating back there. I regret having to write such a critical review, but the numerous inappropriate behaviors we observed were concerning, especially as she certainly should have known better. To top it off, just as we were finishing our cookies, the same manager and one of the Subway employees emerged from the kitchen pushing a Walmart cart filled with garbage, which they then pushed through the dining area and back out into Walmart. I’ve included photos with this review for reference.
