The best meat ever! The NY stripe was delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rarely! Similar to the exteremely sexy chef Jeremy Reed. He's just dreamed! The dead salad with Balsamico-Vinegrette was absolutely fabulous! Charming atmosphere and good food!
Very nice time. After the last review I was a little skeptical about eating at Stephens but the previous reviews were all good. I sat at the bar and had a drink before my party arrived. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. She recommended a few wines and let me taste them all. Which more places should do. Once my party arrived we had a very enjoyable meal(I recommend the chicken&brie and the ribs). The staff was very nice and the owner even came to our table to see how are meal was going. Overall I enjoyed my time at Stephens and would go recommend this restaurant.
Comfortable room, attentive and friendly service, good food. My mate and I have been to Stephen 's three-four times in three months and it 's always been a happy experience. We 've always found the service very professional. There 's a nice selection of wine by the glass, tasty menu items like the baked cod, good choices of accompaniments (the risotto that came with my trout special was really rich and delicious , and perfectly cooked vegetables. It takes skill to treat a vegetable right! Sadly, we 've never had enough room left to order dessert. Maybe next time. Update, Aug. 2011: Too bad. The renovated decor is now really unappealing. Before, it was tasteful enough, understated, and while loud (the place has some strange acoustics , still comfortable, as long as one sat away from the bar. Now the restaurant is mostly bar, incredibly noisy (increasing with the inebriation level of the bar patrons , and uncomfortable. We took a friend from St. Louis (were planning on another restaurant, but the wait was too long , first sat down in one of the wooden booths, and our friend got right back up, saying he coudln 't sit there. No wonder, as the fixed booths look really stiff and awkward, with a cushion practically thrusting customers ' stomachs forward. Not good for the back. We were placed at a high table, which was fine, but tilted. We didn 't ask to be moved again. The food was still good, the service as excellent as always, but I doubt we 'll be going back. Oh, and I 'd describe the new look at the Flintstones meet the Jetsons.
Great Date. Wife and I had dinner with another couple. The food was of excellent quality. We both had an Italian dish although there are other options. Mine was decent size but my wife's was a ravioli dish and was not very filling. We did enjoy the environment and ended our time with desserts, cheesecake was very tasty. I would definitely recommend.
