Papa John's Ireland - Athenry

I frequently visit the Kiltulla/Galway plaza as it is the best place for food and coffee. It is very convenient and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is always very good as well. There is ample parking available too.

I frequently visit this restaurant for breakfast and for takeout from Supermacs. During my last visit, I was served by a friendly young girl named Caitlin at the Supermacs counter. The dining area is always clean and welcoming, with Ann Marie, Reece, and their team providing a warm greeting in the mornings. I highly recommend stopping by The Plaza!

As a parent in Ireland who works with teenagers, I often visit Supermacs with my family a few times a month. My usual order is Papa John's pizza or fries along with a drink, which never fails to satisfy. However, last Saturday after a concert, I decided to switch things up and ordered the "Christmas cracker" Sub with Turkey, Ham, and Cranberry. Despite being in a hurry to get home to feed my sister, I was impressed by the size of the Sub and knew it would be enough for both of us. The sandwich was delicious and fulfilling, and I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

It's clear, approaching the door, thst COVID restrictions are in place. Sign showing where to clean hands on entry and you are encouraged to wear a mask. All the staff wearing masks or visors. I ordered a sub and a cofee. Friendly staff, quick service at Supersubs. The place is very clean, plenty of staff cleaning and also helpful to show where you can leave your tray afterwards, some will offer to take it from you. Some seats are blocked for COVID restrictions but there are plenty avaible outside (some heated! and upstsirs. Bathroom is clean. A nice pitstop to get refreshed beford you head on to get through Galway city traffic. Not everyone in these times, staff and customers are in great form but the staff here do a great job in what can sometimes be fairly trying circumstances.

I stopped off for a quick sandwich on my way to Galway, and ordered at the Supermacs Subway deli counter. The girl who served me was very rude and didn't listen to my sandwich preferences. She started toasting it before I had finished ordering, and when I tried to tell her I wasn't done, she ignored me. To make matters worse, she was wearing her mask under her chin, not covering her face at all. It was clear she didn't care about customer safety. When I asked her to wear her mask properly, she continued to ignore me. I couldn't find a manager to speak to about the situation, and I found the whole experience disgraceful, especially during the current pandemic. This happened today at 5:20pm on 10/07/2020. I would not visit this restaurant again.
