However, we found it nearly impossible to get a... read more We live just about five minutes away from this restaurant, and my wife and I decided to try it for a late lunch. However, we found it nearly impossible to get any service. Although the dining area was quite spacious, it was mostly empty except for the bar, where there were maybe 8 to 10 patrons. Following the signs that instructed us to seat ourselves, we chose a table and waited for someone to come over. Unfortunately, we waited for more than five minutes without any acknowledgment from the bar or any of the waitstaff. A simple greeting or recognition of our presence would have been sufficient, but we received nothing. This has been an ongoing issue; in the past, we experienced the same slow and inattentive service. My wife even mentioned her doubts about having a pleasant visit before we entered, but I was willing to give it another chance. Now, I regret that decision. I never felt entirely comfortable going there, and this experience has solidified my feelings. Unless you want to sit at the bar and entertain the bartenders, I recommend passing on this place. There are plenty of local establishments that genuinely value their customers and offer at least decent service. I won’t be returning.

Kid-friendliness: I would suggest 12 and older. They do have a DJ some night or a band. It can get loud for baby's.

I tried the "Goat Cherries After Dark," which was a delicious brew, along with a dozen steamed clams and tomato bruschetta for $31.00. The food and drinks were excellent in this cozy sports bar atmosphere. There are large-screen TVs everywhere, so you won't miss any of the action. The waitstaff and bartenders were very efficient. They also have an outdoor bar on the side of the building. I will definitely return to catch a game here sometime!

The chef cooked the beef perfectly, and it was served with a generous portion of crispy roast potatoes and a medley of yellow squash and zucchini. There was also au jus for dipping. My husband had a Long Island iced tea, while our daughter and I opted for Piña Coladas. Racks offers a wide selection of specialty cocktails at reasonable prices. On our previous visit, we really enjoyed their taco fajitas special.

I was recently working in the area and our group ate dinner here two nights in a row and both nights my meal was good. The first night I went with the roast pork sandwich and it was pretty tasty. It was a good size with plenty of meat and cheese and it came with au jus for dipping. The second night I went with the chicken parmesan entree and it was delicious and quite generous, in fact so much so, that I couldn't eat it all. I'll definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again.
