Great food and good service. It's hard to get a table on Saturday night. I'm going to the mixed grill plate. The chicken-shawarma is great as well as the lamb kebab. The grilled chicken is very delicate and juicy. THe price is fair for the quality and the portions you receive. The place is very small, but with only six tables. They will be amazed at the great effort that it is done in preparation and cooking of food... View all feedback.
What Antonia Merino doesn't like about Zyara:
I had expectations but most of them were not met. The atmosphere is good, service was good. the food didnt taste that good, it was bland and no flavor. (i got the beef shawarma). also if you're planning on sitting and eating at the restaurant, don't because they charge automatic two fees and its hella expensive. you should get it to take out and eat it and they usually take a very long time to make the food. Really nice mom and pop type of a restaurant. The laffa was delicious they give large portions of food. The negatives are that they're short staffed, the food was abit overpriced, the shwarma was bland. Also, it couldve been random but it seemed like some staff were arguing across the dining hall.I'd definitely come back to grab some laffas but I think kings of falafel on Broadway are much more flavorful.
I think Zyara has the best shawarma in Queens, or may be all of NYC. I also really like their BBQ chicken platter.Shawarma costs around $13 if you take homemade laffa bread. BBQ chicken platter costs $20. The food is fresh as they are always very busy. The only thing they need to improve is their service. Today our server was very good but it varies as I have encountered bad service a couple of times in the past.
A very crowded place offering middle eastern menu items. The service was okay, due to crowd it was difficult to make the order but the serving was fast. However, we in particular had asked to cook the saaj bread nice from the edges, yet it was undercooked and the flour was still wet when served on the table. Upon asking the server said it is supposed to be like this, whereas it is NOT !The prices were okay too.
Delicious chicken wrapped with all kind of stuff inside.Just simply love it.Food: 5/5
