salsas, pinto beans, carnitas, homemade tortillas are this the basic ingredient that make a perfect replica Mexican joint. add friendly personal and fast service to homemade tortilla chips and guacamole, which tastes like someone who cares for ripe avocados, and it adds to a place easy to become a regular. a weak note: chicken tacos were a bit over boiled, not inspired. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed! the food quality and the price of it have changed very much in recent years! it is still super tasty and good, but they charge too much! it is an authentic Mexican food! the personal itself is really fast and friendly! I will still leave 4 stars because they are one of the best tacos in astoria, but keep them to his really expensive!
TM is one of the best finds in the neighborhood. If I didn't live a block away, I might never have noticed this place, as it's off Broadway on the side street. The food is delicious, the service prompt and they have a great relaxing outdoor setup on a relatively quiet street. But, the real winner here is the daily happy hour (M-F) with $5 margaritas. A deal that can't be beat.
Gotta give this place the full five stars. It's not flashy. It's not loud. There's always a soccer match or telenovella playing on TV. BUT- it's some of the damn finest Mexican food in the area. Everything is fresh, and they really fill that plate up with enough rice and beans that you'll be hauling it home. They're tamales are some of the best I've had in NYC, I'd pop by just to grab a couple on the way home at times.
Good place to have a bit I never came here before. It was my first time I enjoyed the food the service was fast the utensils were clean and the staff was friendly. I had the chorizo and carne Asada tacos with everything on them. They tasted good and were cooked just right. Will cone back soon and enjoy more tacos
