Subway Carvel Ice Cream - Astoria

The restaurant is quite small, with only two tables available. I found the prices to be a bit higher than average. The staff member who took my order was friendly. I ordered a birthday cake, which tasted good. The place was clean, and it has a large parking lot, which is definitely a plus.

I often went to the Wednesdays for the two for a Sundae Special at this point. The service is usually good even if Sunday is not so great. But on this occasion Jose took care of my order. I could see how he took care of the way he prepared the order. The best way to describe it was that they actually saw the pictures you see in the ads. Jose's manner was so pleasant during this day before Thanksgiving, he took his time, made sure that he understood the order and the gates. I know, in the world where we live in all, it's fast to complain, I ask you to compliment Jose.

I really enjoy the frozen soft serve available in their freezers. Soft serve ice cream melts too quickly for my liking, but the frozen options are simply perfect.

This is an excellent Carvel location. I've been around Carvels my entire life and have noticed that some are better than others. This one stands out for its rich texture and robust flavors. The quality is impressive, making it worth the trip. They also offer a wide selection of treats in their freezers. Additionally, I can easily find banana and pistachio sauces here, which is a big plus!

Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely come back just for their amazing service. Oh, and the ice cream, I guess. Would recommend. One employee in particular behind the counter was extremely cute, I would visit again purely for her. Place was wonderfully clean too. Definitely sticking to covid 19 regulations. Would recommend visiting.
