A distraction is the orange lighting that serves to darken the room until the eyes adjust slightly to the low light level. The other distraction is the din of the crowd. The acoustics are so that the loud conversation occasionally drowns the soft music playing the sound system. We requested Mac Cheese as a starter. The three cheese mix and bread crumbs over Elbow Makkaroni was creamy and filled. We agreed to share our Entrée orders from Sauvignon Blanc Steamed Mussels and NY Beer Battered Cod Chips.
This place was great, wood and brick inside, well designed. Live music on certain days, Server Monica was very good. We came with a different age group, we had a great time, music was great. Food was amazing, had the duck brunch, was delicious. Brunch with unlimited punch is a great idea, it cannot expect to introduce my friends to this place.
I love this place! I came here with a group of six (with the age range of 26-69, so it is really great for all) for their punch brunch. The room is hip and beautifully designed. The tables and leather chairs are a beautiful touch. The lighting was quite dim, at the first input, but we all adapted. The music was played old r b, Blues, it was really wonderful. There are a variety of seats and space for large groups. Our waitress, Monica, was prompt, friendly and simply great. The food was great as well as the two free stamps, the Purple Drank Punch and the Love Drunk Punch. The price was absolutely reasonable, come to $20 a person for each one dish, at least two drinks per, and four common desserts. My group planned to come back here before our meal was over. We'll be back to try their dinner menu. Recommended: Purple Drank Punch Love Drunk Punch Scottish Smoked Salmon Slow Roast Duck Beans Chocolate Pudding Sticky Toffee Pudding
I was here at least 5-6 times. The food, the ambience and the staff are great. Love they have jazz music for a few nights. My place. I'm normal now! Your groundless branch is to die. Also, recently discovered Des, one of the owners used to go another bar called Gabby's that I used to go. Good guy.
I love coming to Astoria and came here as part of an event which gave an another chance to make that long overdue visit. This spot is awesome , i wasn't expecting this to be this huge but it is really spacious and décor is old rustic with a hint of industrial touch. Coming to food and drinks there were a plenty of good options. I really liked the strawberry ginger drink. Sweet and chili flavored chicken were my favorites , there were also veggie and meat burgers and octopus appetizer. We also had a live acoustic performance. I will be back here soon!
