The food tasted like something you woul... read more My husband and I stopped into this cute little place after self touring the Basilica. It was a lovely day on the piazza. The food tasted like something you would get in the frozen food aisle at the market. Every woman working there has the demeanor that they could care less that patrons were sitting there. I tried to get someone’s attention to understand if we pay inside or at table but one of the women outside looked at me gesturing, then just looked past me. Finally I just gave up and decided to pay inside, and again, just sour demeanor across the board. The cashier literally tossed the coins at me once I paid. While I was paying, my husband began trying to fend off the pigeons trying to feast on our remaining food and he ended up trying to move the food away to another table only to have one of the women glare at him. If we were to bus our own table it wasn’t very clear. It was a shame to end our visit to Assisi on such a bad note. I recommend steering your business elsewhere.
