That is a fantastic restaurant! it's fucked up in the little ones, but don't let yourself be stupid. we had the taste menu that we expected to be small amounts... read more That is a fantastic restaurant! it's fucked up in the little ones, but don't let yourself be stupid. we had the taste menu that we expected to be small amounts of food added to a main meal. No! we had a piece of each starter on the menu that was a meal in itself, two pasta dishes, followed by beautifully cooked steak with salat. the option was that for the included service or supplement for wein. again we thought the wein would be a glass. it was actually generous portions of various local weeps. all that eating and the glasses of the weine for a head was amazingly worth seeing comments from others about the service, but we had no complaining at all. they were beautiful for us during and we spent almost hours in the restaurant because we have so much in it relaxed I have this restaurant on my cards as a saved to each time when I am in italian forward, even if it is a few hours outside the way!

The setting is charming and rustic, the waiters professional and extremely kind, and the food, perhaps less sophisticated than it seems, but bursting with flavors, perfectly balanced and well-chosen. The portions are more than generous and will fill you up without a problem. Highly recommended for a dinner in the center of Assisi. Perhaps the only thing I'd suggest changing is removing a couple of seats; the tables can seem a little too close together, but in our case, that wasn't a problem since there were only a few of us in the dining room.

Attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive service. We ordered the medieval platter, followed by gnocchi with Sagrantino wine and strangozzi with mushrooms. Vin Santo and artisanal tozzetti. Local house wine. Quality ingredients. Highly recommended.
