Although the food was very good, I was somewhat disappointed by the ambiance and service. Small children running around the restaurant were not what I expected. Had I known this was a family restaurant, I would have approached dinner differently. I was disappointed in the service when I ordered coffee and dessert and received my coffee so far before dessert that I had to drink it before it was completely cold while still waiting for dessert. When dessert finally arrived, I ordered another coffee. It would have been nice for the staff to recognize the delay in dessert and time the coffee and dessert together. Compared to other experiences in Assisi, I will not return to L'Estasi.

Excellent service and view over the Umbrian valley and steeples of lower ASSISI. Ask to sit out in the glass atrium if it is cool out. The patio if it is warm. Interesting and varied menu selections.
