The vegan choices are a bit limited, but absolutely delicious! They have three amazing vegan rolls on offer, and the eggplant appetizer is a definite standout.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The crispy tofu was a standout dish with its unique taste and great texture. The scallop was tender and the mushrooms and vegetables underneath were delicious. The Godzilla roll was good, with the strawberry adding a nice touch of sourness. The shrimp was a bit heavy with the coating and sauce, but still enjoyable. Overall, I was impressed with the quality of the food at this restaurant.
Kenichi is a fantastic Japanese restaurant that I have dined at more than 30 times. We typically opt for the bar area, where the menu is excellent. I highly recommend trying the dynamite shrimp and Godzilla roll - they are delicious! If you plan on visiting Aspen during the winter, be sure to make a reservation well in advance (at least 1 month before) on opentable.com as they are always booked. The restaurant is popular due to its lively atmosphere, great service, and amazing food. I can't wait to return soon.
I was disappointed to discover that the tempura batter used to make the plant based rolls contained milk. It's frustrating that the restaurant either made a mistake or was dishonest about their ingredients.
