Brunelleschi's - ASPEN
Menu
On this homepage, you will find the complete menu of Brunelleschi's from ASPEN. Currently, there are 26 menus and drinks available.
In the heart of Aspen, a cozy restaurant/bar offers a mixed dining experience. While some guests rave about the flavorful pasta and attentive service, others are less impressed with the inconsistent quality of the pizza and unfortunate service lapses. Many noted an atmosphere perfect for people-watching, as well as solid options for those enjoying a casual meal while catching a game. However, complaints about cleanliness and inattentive waitstaff mar the overall impression. Patrons are encouraged to double-check their bills, as issues with gratuities have been reported. This restaurant is both praised and critiqued, leaving prospective diners to decide for themselves.

What F A dislikes about Brunelleschi's:
The food is good, but the service leaves much to be desired, and the tables were quite dirty. I suspect the subpar service is a result of the mandatory gratuity. There are so many great restaurants in Aspen that I probably won't be coming back here. View all feedback.

Hard PASS on this place! The pizza is basically a burrito shell with some cheese and maybe a little sauce on it. Not much flavor and definitely NOT worth the prices. Yes, it 's A$pen, but we expect something better than this. The REAL issue is the service. The wait staff would literally rather stand around talking to each other and playing paddy cake clapping games than wait on the customers! Our waiter clearly lost interest when we weren 't going to have a large bill including drinks and never once checked on how we were doing, never refilled our glasses, and eventually got us our bill. HOWEVER, he took it upon himself to alter the tip amount to get to 20% AFTER I signed the receipt for much less and we left!!! THAT IS ILLEGAL! To the restaurant 's credit, they did credit the overcharged amount back to my card, BUT never once asked who the waiter was and basically laughed when I noted the problem and that I wanted the amount credited. I tried calling several times to speak with the manager and that person was never around. I was also told that the waiter likely lost the ticket and just added 20% automatically. It was said so easily and matter of fact that it sounded like a common excuse. Not wanting to look up the receipt or asking who the waiter was.....WOW!$5 on a few tables each night over several nights and suddenly that 's not a bad self-imposed pay increase every month! Had this same thing happen at another chain restaurant years ago and have never been back to any of the chain 's stores since. PAY ATTENTION to your credit card statement!
We dined outside twice during our visit, enjoying light meals like the Cobb salad and pizza, along with some drinks. Our service was satisfactory on both occasions, especially since we were dining during non-busy times. The quality of the food and drinks was quite good, although the prices are on the higher side, so be prepared for that. This place is perfect for people-watching! Overall, we had two enjoyable experiences and found it to be a nice spot to relax and grab a bite, rather than a "fine dining" experience.
Flavorless food and even worse service! We had to seat ourselves after waiting by the door for someone to greet us. The calamari was overcooked, chewy, and devoid of any flavor. The bread was plain and unremarkable. When the plates arrived for sharing the calamari and bread, they only brought enough for half of our group, so we had to ask for more. The only time our server checked on us was to see if we had any empty plates; it seemed they were understaffed. The pizza tasted like it came from a frozen package and was just quickly topped with ingredients. It was very thin and small, essentially a personal size at best. The soft drinks were flat, and our glasses were empty with no one to refill them. The glasses were quite small, and we finished them quickly—not to mention that refills weren’t included, as is typically the case. Overall, it was not a great experience.
This small, enjoyable restaurant/bar is a perfect spot for watching sports while relishing tasty pizza, meatballs, salads, and cocktails. With its friendly and accommodating staff, it was a standout choice for multiple visits during our trip.
