We came to the carvery shortly before the opening and was told by someone that it was open and we could go in. we're going in and then we're told they're coming... read more We came to the carvery shortly before the opening and was told by someone that it was open and we could go in. we're going in and then we're told they're coming out because they're not ready for more minutes. the man then tried to say that he didn't want to go in. we really brought our ghosts down because it was our first time here and for the price that the carvery is, we expected a good experience from the beginning. we wait outside until she opens, and the people begin to push us and get in front of the opening, they were welcome without problems. then we went behind them. we sat and noticed that someone waited from the chase when they served. we started driving up there and said we were supposed to sit back. at this point we just left. in the words of my mother who accompanied me it was like being back in maths class to do what we were told and sitting and closing the whole experience was so disappointing and upsetting us. we just wanted to be treated nicely and like everyone else. all the others were treated nicely, but for us it was like we shouldn't be there. should not treat some customers better than others, just because they know them.

We were not let down - the food was fresh and delicious, with very generous portions of meat. The decor was lovely, and the fireplace added a charming touch to the atmosphere. We are looking forward to returning soon. Thank you for a great meal!
