I have been coming to this restaurant regularly for approximately 2 years and can confidently say that as Asheville natives, it is my favorite place to grab drinks. The owners are fantastic people, but they should not expect that they are always available for a chat or to accommodate every request. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Prospect:
This restaurant is a favorite spot for locals in Asheville. It's been around since 2009 and is a great place to escape the crowds of tourists. If you're just visiting or from out of town, please steer clear, especially if you're from Florida or California. We prefer to keep it exclusive for Asheville natives. Don't worry, if you've been living in Asheville since 2015 or earlier, you'll be considered a native too. Jus... View all feedback.
They must be a member or a member. cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. a hired dog attacked me and broke my skin and I had to go to the sick house to check it out and do it blood. other than that, great place.
DO NOT GO HERE. Local or visiting. Read all these terrible reviews on here. As an Asheville native, I have visited most spots around town and but had never been here, so I tried Prospect for the first time on 1/25/21. Before purchasing our first beverage, the owner verbally assaulted my fiancé and her friend. The staff was incredibly embarrassed that an owner would talk like this to customers. I took out my phone and took a video because it was so incredibly shocking. I wish Google allowed me to post it on here. The last image is of the owner flicking off two nice ladies. Shame on them.
I want to start by saying of the 100 or so reviews I have given on Google this is the only negative one I have left. After supporting this spot as a patron for years I have had 3 horrible experiences in a row. I'm done. Owners are the epitome of arrogance rudeness. Why do you own a bar if it makes you that miserable? I loathe all the new condos in Asheville but I wish they would put one up over this bar with the owners still inside. Good Day
Just opened a business in town so I thought this might be a cool place to hang out while in town. Knocked on the door to get a “membership” and had the door literally slammed in my face by the rude manager. Maybe alienating locals is the goal of this place. If so great job
Bartender of 10 years born and raised in Asheville. This place advertises as a locals only bar. Went in with a small group of respectful service industry people and I have literally never been treated so poorly in my life, by the owner no less. You could not pay me to stop foot in this facility again. I’d give a negative star if I could.
