Nice! Preisy for a tour, but his beautiful! We have the audio tour I recommend we went when they were decorated for Christmas and I am so happy that we did. For us, this is once to be seen in a lifelong thing, and it was so worth it! Beautiful villa on and still beautiful view of the country they own. The trip to the house was long, but nice! The food was pretty good and the little shops are enchanting! View all feedback.
What Ryan doesn't like about The Creamery:
It's just Hershey's ice cream (they really should advertise it a la that). They haven't used on site dairy for over 40 years. Other than that, good service and nice location. Lines a bit too long for Hershey ice cream, IMO... View all feedback.
I participated in the guided tour of the main house and opted for the additional roof and staircase tour. It was absolutely worth it to explore areas of the house not included in the standard tour. I also tried the Monet Friends experience but was a bit disappointed, as I expected to see actual works of art. Instead, it turned out to be a unique digital experience, which was interesting, but I would have preferred to see the original artworks. Additionally, there's a free wine tasting at the winery, but it requires a reservation. You’ll find a QR code in the brochure given to you when you purchase your tickets. There's a good chance you can get in after your tours—just scan the code upon your morning arrival and choose your preferred time. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I did!
The photos don’t capture the true beauty of this place—it's absolutely stunning. There are plenty of parking spaces available, and you can either walk or take a shuttle to the entrance. Be sure to reserve your timed tickets in advance. If possible, enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant, The Stables. The audio tour is a fantastic addition that offers insights into the various rooms throughout the mansion, allowing you to understand the lifestyle of the wealthy elite. Each room features remarkable architecture and exquisite furniture. The swimming pool is truly impressive. You’ll also get a glimpse into how the staff lived and how they maintained the estate. The tour takes a few hours, and after exploring the house, you can stroll around the beautiful grounds. It’s easy to spend an entire day here and still not see everything. I’ve heard that Christmas is a magical time to visit, but the spring flowers are also breathtaking. Plan your visit—you won't regret it!
I want to go back to this place. Full history and interesting facts. It is a self-guided tour with phones provided, the curators give you the history of every room turned in the house museum. There are also winery to do wine tasting and you can buy a bottle or 2. The terrain is well maintained and beautiful. This attraction is a must see.
Americas largest privately owned estate or house. A whopping 250 rooms and architectural marvel with well planned layout almost 125 years ago. In addition to the estate castle you can enjoy 8000 acres of ground including a little winery village. Ticket costs $110 for a self guided tour including interiors. I think it is too pricy for the tour having visited much more fancy ones in Europe. Arrangements are well done for parking and tour. You can walk around in the gardens at the back of the castle and also garden on the way to winery village. There is also a Deer park if it is interesting. Worth a visit if you like historic places and enjoy royal walk.
Beautiful home! If you have more than 10 in your group, call the group line and get a great discount. They suggest 90 walking tour of the house, we spent more like 2.5 hours in there and would do it again. Also by booking a group rate you get a few 10% off coupons. And finally don't forget to book your wine tasting through the app while you are on property, love it!!
