Fun little place with good food. Drinks are pricey so stick with the $6 Fat Tire draft. The salsa was extremely flavorful and chips were good. Burritos were tasty and veggies fresh. Would highly recommend. View all feedback.
What Grace Sadosky doesn't like about Taco Billy:
Our first time back at Taco Billy since the Reno and what a change. We remembered it as a rustic taco shed, not anymore! The new space is much bigger. Tacos are good but think prices have gone up. Wish tacos came with a few chips as we ycan’t eat a basket of chips with our lunch. Tasty tacos but we missed a bit of the old Taco Billy. View all feedback.
Got the migas tacos and a build your own for breakfast. Eggs were overcooked, dry, unseasoned. Everything in the taco was bland and under seasoned, no textural contrast, everything was thrown in together into a scrambled egg mish mosh and placed on a store bought, slightly cold flour tortilla you could get at Aldis. Bacon was like small bacon pieces melded into the scramble which you could not taste. Place looked dirty if not slightly hip I'll give it an extra star for decor. Employees were not friendly.
Love these tacos and to have a plantain shell is exquisite. I dream about them.
Taco Billy Co. Man! There just isn’t enough good things I can tell you about this place. When I moved to Asheville, my house was empty and so was my stomach. I traveled up the hill and entered into a taco paradise. If you’re ever there for breakfast and you like coffee , they have cold brew in a glass bottle that will rattle your core (in a good way! My first visit, I let the staff know this was my first meal in the area and everyone was so friendly and kind! Some have even turned into friends : The interior is clean, cool and decorated with interesting pieces, most of which include the iconic Taco Billy …goat. Speaking of G.O.A.T. Let’s get to the main event, my favorite the Grandberry taco. I’m a simple gal looking for clean flavors and this is it for me. But over the last couple of weeks I’ve tried just about all of them and wouldn’t you believe they use REAL food. Like the food makes you feel good after so I asked the manager , she let me know all of their kitchen is locally sourced. If I’m going to spend my money these days it’s nice to know the value is there. The drinks are cheap and the selection again is local and diverse. I have consumed so much queso dip that it is now an integral part of my working body. Taco Billy is a great place to bring guests, friends, pets and lovers. For any occasion I love this place and the people that work there. Thanks guys!
Such a fun and delicious place for unique, generous, and delicious tacos! Very kind and attentive service too!
When I first heard about this place I was skeptical. I thought how could tacos made by goats be good let alone cohesive amalgamations of ingredients. But boy howdy was I wrong. Goat tacos are in. The menu is as diverse as it is easy to read (to be clear, I can read, and I don’t need pictures). I ate three tacos on Thursday morning and all were delicious, particularly the Migas which is the best breakfast taco I have ever eaten publicly. I ate two tacos on Friday morning and both were also delicious, including the Migas taco which I reordered and again ate publicly in the well-maintained eating room. We actually were planning on having breakfast at Sunny Time Cafe but we wanted a few appetizer tacos. The pictures on the wall are goat themed, which does feel a bit self-aggrandizing but definitely contributes to a cohesive aesthetic that enhances an already delightful consumatory experience. No one yelled even once except my friend Chad who is prone to yelling publicly anyways and no one should be worried, he is a man of passion and generally demonstrates impeccable character. The service was great on Thursday and phenomenal on Friday. I did see a woman putting salt on her tortilla chips and her doctor is NOT going to be happy about that. Merchandise was on point but no Larges and I’m a sturdy boy so I had to pass. No cheesy gordita crunches but otherwise five stars
