Rendezvous offers a unique dining atmosphere complemented by friendly service and convenient parking. While many patrons rave about the delicious steak au poivre and escargot, others have faced inconsistencies in dish preparation, with complaints of overcooked or underseasoned food. The ambiance exudes charm, making it an inviting locale for both casual and special gatherings. However, attention to food temperature and preparation could enhance the overall experience. Was Frank DeCostole at Rendezvous a mag?
A friend suggested that we meet up at this restaurant. We went on a Friday night, and it surpassed all our expectations—everything was fantastic. The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. We can't wait to return! View all feedback.

What Amy Pollard dislikes about Rendezvous:
Unfortunately, the French onion soup was far too salty, and the portobello mushroom dish was overcooked and rubbery. The salad was carelessly chopped and lacked any noticeable dressing. I ordered a medium steak, but it came out undercooked. Although the restaurant is conveniently located nearby, I wouldn't consider returning. I was very disappointed with my experience. The food is delicious, the staff is excellent, and the atmosphere is fun (we've only dined outside). This has become my wife's and my new favorite restaurant!

We have been long time (15 years? patrons of Michel 's Bouchon and now Rendezvous. As locals, we like Rendezvous because of the easy parking, compared to downtown. But I understand the menus are the same at both locations, and certainly the food quality at Rendezvous is every bit as good as the flagship location. My own go to dishes are steak au poivre (nicely peppery and creamy, medium rare is guaranteed to be quite pink, plus a generous serving , the chicken cordon bleu, and the escargot. The escargot what little treats, with the pastry on top and the hot garlic butter dipping juice surrounding the snail be sure to order a side of the sourdough bread if you go for the escargot. My spouse 's usual orders are the steak tartare (on Thursday and the mussels. Frites are wonderful, and come with a nice remoulade if you want to dip them. We rarely have room for dessert, which is unfortunate, because their crepes and profiteroles are really good. We are lucky to have not one but two French Bistros in Asheville, both operated by Michel and his staff. No establishment is ever 100% day in and day out, but Michel 's restaurants come close. Our long term patronage says something!
