All right. The definition of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant (it is within a gas station). Go! Waiting was a little long (all made of scratches), but worth waiting. View all feedback.
What Clint Payne doesn't like about Pon's Thai Cuisine:
Time has no meaning here. 10 minutes is 40 minutes. 40 minutes is 90 minutes. After 40 mins you show up and then they start making your food and often don’t have record of it.Ultimately the food isn’t good enough to justify the poor service and dis-organization. Thai food is usually quite good, and Pon's is no exception. Amazing food and amazing service; it is one of the best authentic restaurants in Asheville. Will definitely be back for more Pad Woon Sen!
It's not better Thai food in town. Quickly wait, great food. It's not a chic restaurant, it's in a gas station. You make a lot of takeout. Prepare the food is incredible.
Best authentic Thai food in Asheville. Call to place your order because it may be busy. Spicy Noodles (Drunken Noodles) with chicken is very good. Spicy Basil is also very good. Pon is very beautiful and everything is made by scratches with authentic Thai taste. Very recommended!
To use the house we use the Thai petrol station as a benchmark for Thai food. It's the best Thai food I ever had. However, waiting time can be very long, so make sure you continue to order.
Gas station Thai food sounds like an episode of 1000 ways to die but this is seriously the BEST Thai maybe even just Asian food overall in North Carolina. I've tried every place within driving distance and no one makes fried rice as good as the 2 sweet old ladies whipping up food out of this literal hole in the wall restaurant. Don't rob yourself of the enjoyment seeing people's face turn sideways when you suggest gas station food only to return with the best food they'll have all year
