Little Sprout Carryout - Asheville

It never seems to be open anymore. Last sign said they were closed on 6/29 and would open 6/30 again, but they did not. Sad, because that was a good place. 2 stars, because if they are open, their selection is great.

The place on their menu says The Red Radish does not carry out little sprouts. When I ordered the Radieschen menu, there was the Cobb salad $7.95....I was charged $10.95... I also ordered 2 Chix Salat Croissant Sandwiches. When ordering, they asked if I wanted chips or potato salad.... but didn't say it was extra. $2.00 for a bag of chips?!!! No red radish sign in the front. Very disappointing... false name... false prices.

I had the chicken salad croissant and pasta salad ! The food was very tasty and you can tell that it is fresh. I also got the ginger cookie. I?ll eat it later. Pricey but worth it !

The food was pretty good. I had a chicken sandwich. It seemed like it was a little dry, but the flavor was excellent! Also splurged on a piece of pie which was also excellent! We would like to have eaten in the store, but it's more of a carry out as the name implies. Overall, this little store has a great future we think.

I have probably eaten here about 25 times (my company often buys lunch for our meetings) and I have ordered the same (Cobb Salad with Chicken) each time. It's sooo hit or miss. It's never bad, but sometimes you have a ton of blue cheese, sometimes you forget it. Sometimes they give you the wrong dressing. Sometimes it is jam packed in its container, sometimes it feels like they have halved it, etc. You never know what you're gonna get and I heard from other employees that it's not just the salad. Again it still tastes good, but some consistency would be nice.
