My partner and I ordered egg rolls, wonton soup, General Tsao chicken, and Mushu vegetable pancakes. We are quite particular about food, but both agreed that each dish was exceptional, cooked well and extremely tasty. We will definitely be adding China Wok to our list of favorites! I ordered the honey chicken. It was absolutely awful. It was breaded chicken like the sweet and sour chicken. But felt and tasted like it had been soaking in water the past hour. It was mushy. Hardly any chicken in the bread. View all feedback.
Been going here since 2012. Proper Chinese takeout food. No pretentiousness, no song and dance, not bank-breaking. Never had a bad dish here.
Nothing fancy. Wouldn’t eat in. Very fast turnaround. Food was mediocre at best. So far I think China Taste in WAVL is the “best” Chinese food/takeout in the area but that ain’t saying much. Asheville DESPERATELY needs a solid Chinese restaurant. Red Ginger too high end and Shanghai Dumpling House a bit pricey and neither standard Chinese cuisine. Portions generous but food itself wasn’t so good.
