Bear's Smokehouse Barbecue - Asheville

Passing through and read the reviews, we had to give it a try. Glad we did! The only negative thing I can say it that it was a little hard to find, but so glad we found it! The brisket was excellent. It was tender and moist with a nice smoke ring. The beans could be a meal by themselves, they had lots of meat in them. The pork was also very good. The service was very helpful in helping us make our choices. Definitely will return again if in the area!

Had the two meat special with coleslaw and baked beans. You do have to go up and order, but the staff was very polite and fast. The pulled pork was amazing and the brisket was too! The burnt ends looked great, but they ran out when I got to the front of the line. My son had the pulled pork sandwich and Mac with brisket. All the food was great!

Solid as it comes in NC: tender brisket, they were not stingy to overload your chopped beef sandwich, I enjoyed their in-house BBQ sauce options (they had 4: Kansas City Sweet was my favorite)! Their cheddar jalapeño sausages were okay, but I did enjoy our sides (mac cheese, coleslaw). I would definitely come back here again. The vibes here was so chill cozy!

BEST BBQ EVER!!!! I got the ribs, coleslaw, Mac cheese and they were all sooooo delicious. GET THE MAC CHEESE!!! Best I?ve ever had! Also love the atmosphere with the cute outdoor lighted patio and connected brewery! Will be back!

We are local and this place has AMAZING BBQ! The brisket melts in your mouth. Nachos are delicious, and great location that is not overly crowded. This will definitely be our new go-to BBQ. Prices affordable as well!
