What User doesn't like about The Difference Baker:
As someone new to the gluten-free world who also dislikes baking, I found this place to be a great option! I thoroughly enjoyed their donuts and chocolate chip cookies. My only suggestion would be to offer more vegan options, as many of the items contain egg and milk. View all feedback.
This restaurant is very welcoming and offers delicious desserts! The majority of the options are vegan-friendly, and the staff will assist you in choosing the ones that are not. I can't wait to try their pizza next time!
I ordered the oatmeal cream pie and had my doubts since it appeared hard and stale. However, it turned out to be the opposite. The cream was soft and delicious, and the cookie had a nice crunch to it. I will definitely return whenever I am in the area.
As a newcomer to the gluten-free lifestyle who dislikes baking, I really enjoy this place! I have been impressed with their donuts and chocolate chip cookie cake. My only suggestion would be to offer more vegan options, as many of their items contain egg and dairy.
Friendly staff. Everthing in the store is GF and nut-free. Wide array of vegan offerings. Donuts, monkey bread and brownies are terrific.
I have a dairy allergy but can eat gluten, so I appreciate allergen-free bakeries and want to support them. This business is certified gluten-free and peanut-free, and they do not allow outside food or drink. If you have celiac's disease and cannot have gluten, you may enjoy this place. However, as someone who can tolerate gluten, I found the gluten-free baked goods to have a distinct texture that I did not love. The flavors were also lacking for me, with some items tasting like they were missing something. The vanilla frosting on the cupcakes was too sweet, but the chocolate frosting was better. Despite the texture and flavor issues, the staff was helpful, the prices were reasonable, and the place was clean. It was slightly disappointing to find that they use dairy in some items, despite advertising as allergen-free and vegan. Overall, if you have celiac's disease, this place is a good option, but there are better alternatives for those who can eat gluten. Specific items like the chocolate cake donut with chocolate frosting were enjoyable, but others like the cinnamon pop tart were lacking in flavor.
