The owner is very responsive! We have ordered from this place quiet a few times since our move to this area. We also catered food from this place and all the items were simply delicious. They even gave us few freebies (papad, gunpowder etc. I definitely recommend this place, all curries we have tasted so far reminded me of home made food. Just delicious and will go back often! What Bhanvi D doesn't like about Malgudi Veg:
Everything tasted so bad. You'd think that for veg Indian buffet they would have a good selection of entrees but it was mostly potatos. Even the items that they have tasted horrible, the only thing that was okayish was the chocolate pastry (dessert). Don't waste your money here. View all feedback.
We popped in to check it out for dinner on a Thursday evening. The assumption was we were there for the dinner buffet, but we wanted to order from the menu. That took a little doing as the person who would have taken our order was also bringing out dosa for the other tables (it 's part of the buffet), take out containers for other tables, then helping ring up people who came in to get dessert to go. Busy guy. Anyway we checked out the buffet and ruled it out as there were a number of deep fried items and we 're trying to avoid that right now. We ran the one guy down and eventually ordered a mysore dosa and Chana masala off the menu. The place was buzzing and people seemed happy with the buffet. We didn 't have to wait long and our food arrived. We were pleasantly surprised with how tasty the Chana masala was, and loved the sauces that came with the dosa. I had ordered the dosa medium spicy and it didn 't seem very spicy at all, it was bland to me, but the sauces more than made up for it. We were the only non Indians in the entire place. We weren 't thrilled with the 90 's romantic Indian music but hey, it definitely added ambience. The one busy guy is very nice just busy. We enjoyed our experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for some tasty veggie food. We will go back if we 're in the area.
I was so excited to finally try Malgudi. My order was submitted at 6:11 PM, and I arrived around 6:30 PM. Online ordering allows you to select a time, so I assumed that meant 6:30 was reasonable. I was informed upon arrival that they were working on the order. I asked about the order at 6:40. I was informed at 6:52 that the Veg Tandoori was the hold up and everything else was ready. I asked for a refund at 7:00 and was told, again, that it was just one menu item and everything is made to order. I reminded them that I ordered at 6:11 PM, and the gentleman first went to check the order but then went straight back to the kitchen. Food came out, no apology or explanation. I walked out the door at 7:03 PM. I was the only customer in the restaurant for the last 15 20 minutes that I was waiting. The fries are ice cold. The dal is cold. The tandoori is a small appetizer and was the only hot item, of course. The flavor of the food was actually good, which is why I am offering 2 stars. But, I will not be back nor will my family members.
First time over here ,a huge variety of Indian dishes . Awesome taste of Rava masala and Mysore Dosa. Idli was so soft and really enjoyed it with sambar.Must visit to try the rest of the dishes.
Went for lunch buffet on a weekend. None of the items were good. Over priced for what they provide. Not going back.
This was my first time visiting the restaurant. It was wonderful experience in the restaurant. manager and staff were great and paid special attention. we we're 15 plus people and went for buffet on Sunday. There were more than 35 items for buffet. could not do justice to all but tried spoonful of everything. Food was so delicious. i will definitely recommend to others.
