I had a reservation for the dining room, but they tried to seat us at the bar when it was time to settle the tab. For New Year's Eve, they were quite busy and didn’t seem to have the best coordination. The food was good, and our server was fantastic, but she seemed overwhelmed and had to cover for other areas. Overall, it didn't feel worth the high prices they charged. View all feedback.
We were here numerous paintings, but this time was not the same. kellnerin did not imagine that water after 20 minutes came no brot was offered apps came before drinks no review of how everything was throughout the meal. even after talking to the manager. no dessert menu was offered, we had to ask one of the participants once with dessert menus 15 minutes later, we had to ask a manager for the check down, said our child, “guest, we have dessert at home” finally another server brought our sheck no excuses from everyone how bad the service was. short personal or simply not? have we not spent enough for a satisfactory service? Happy New Year
This was the first time any of us had dined at Eddie Merlot’s. Overall, it was very disappointing. We had to wait 25 minutes to be seated (we had reservations). Our waiter came by to tell us what food wasn’t available that night and then walked away without taking our drink orders. Took a long time for him to come back. At that point we ordered food and drinks. My salad was full of rusted lettuce (and he brought the wrong dressing). All of us agreed that our meals were “just ok”. We actually left hungry! For the price, I would expect great service and delicious food. Eddie Merlots did not deliver. We won’t go back.
Our first time at Eddie Merlot. Food was decent but service was very poor. We went for New Years Eve dinner and we sat in the back corner in a quiet table. Waiter took our order then basically disappeared for the night tending to the larger tables. Person cleaning up our table almost dropped a hot cup of butter all over me but she didn’t even say sorry or check to see if anything got on me. I won’t be going back. For the price and service, I’d rather go elsewhere.
Outstanding food! Service a bit of a disappointment. Seated 20 minutes before we even got water. Had to remind the server when cocktails were delivered. Waited another 10 minutes. Salt and pepper shakers filled so tight that none would come out. Battery dead in the candle on our table. Normally would not have minded but it was Christmas and we would’ve liked to of had the candlelight. Credit card sat on the table for an unreasonable amount of time after check was delivered. Again, outstanding food but disappointing service from Lenny.
We had family in town and decided to go out for Christmas dinner. I called to inquire about the bar seating and was assured it was not a high top and it would be comfortable and cozy . When we arrived, the revolving door was not working so people were coming in and out of the side door. Our table was just inside the bar and it was freezing due to the window and the draft from the door. We asked to move, but were told no, they expected some other people for another table for 6 in the middle of the room...okay, I get it, we will deal. After sitting for about 10 minutes and perusing the drink/dinner menu, our waiter (Lenny) appeared and asked if we 'd like water, we said yes, and he immediately disappeared without asking if we wanted anything besides water to drink. The water was dropped off and Lenny took off right away leaving us stunned we still hadn 't ordered drinks. Finally, he reemerged and we immediately leapt on the opportunity to order our drinks, appetizers and dinners. After 15 minutes, our appetizers arrived, but we still did not have drinks. My husband left the table to find out where the drinks were...they finally arrived. At this point we 'd been sitting there for almost a half hour with no drinks. The salads and soups were fine. The entrees arrived and this is where things went downhill. My sister in laws steak was burned to a crisp and my steak (ordered a 6 oz with the Del Mar) was a 4 oz tough charcoal briquet. I would have sent it back except Lenny was absentia as usual. Finally, as we sat with dirty plates in front of us, I 'd had enough. I called over the manager, Patrick, showed him the picture of our table and explained the problems. He assured me he would take care of it. My meal alone was $60. He took $50 off the $500 check and we were not even offered coffee or dessert. Don 't take reservations if you are understaffed. The whole evening was a disaster and complete, expensive disappointment.
