Don’t go on a Monday. The car park is reserved for local people, the restaurant is shut, there’s no one about to serve drinks, the rooms are pokey little cupboards and breakfast is sparse. There are better places for less money.
This is where we stayed in 2017. Small little gem in Aschaffenburg our first stop in Bavaria on the Road to Vienna trip. Plenty of room for bike parking, nice and comfortable rooms and good dining beer : Look forward to see you again in July 2018
General: Incomprehensible how this place could get the Bib Gourmand 2015: moderate to bad, ambience uncomfortable and cold. Operation: Normal reception, then fleet and professional service, but not excessively friendly. Food: Main dishes: Beef Roulade with Wirsing (OK, but gum-like Pfanni) or vegetable cake (here bad, Choke without the menu announced tomatoes). Desserts: Mousse au chocolat (OK) or Cartoon clone (not big that much too much sugar and applesa very sour, led to gastric pressures). The ambience: There is much too cold, as the entrance door is open (we must close during the meal). In addition, waiting room atmosphere, as a long bench without niches. Altogether so unpleasant. Cleanliness: Nothing negative noticed, toilets not visited.
