Beautiful location, very fresh fish, excellent seafood cavatelli. Kindness, refinement and professionalism.
It's always nice to return to places where you've had a great time. Everything is even better.
I had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. The dishes I tried were unique, I 'd never tried them anywhere else, and they were also very good. I 'm only giving it 3 stars because the service was terrible. The girl who served us couldn 't wait to go home, and it showed; her annoyance with us was obvious. It wasn 't even late; she went home before 11:00 PM... Rude, nervous, or even no answers at all. I 'd ask questions, and she 'd answer curtly and leave without giving me time to say anything or explain anything. The food is delicious and the recipes are sophisticated, but the prices are higher than average, and I don 't want to hear the implicit message when are you leaving? all evening, considering I 'm paying a lot! You can 't justify such a high price with food alone; the service has to be up to par.
Lunch and dinner with a very suggestive view! Above all, quality food! Highly recommended! Very competent staff and chef!

We had a late dinner there. Four strangers in an empty restaurant. Before we took seats everything looked very attractive with seaside location and marine decor inside. But soon after we sat down nothing more pleased to us. Extremely slow and unprofessional service. Two waiters making intentional errors in order to overprice the bill, unless we spoke to them quite good and communicative Italian. The microscopic pieces of orata fish. Everything hugely overpriced. Honestly saying the quality of food was medium or even below medium. The worse gastronomic experience in Southern Italy we had ever since. Later, the local people in Marina di Ascea told us that LoSciabecco is the place one should avoid at any price and our experience was nothing exceptional.
After reading some of the positive reviews here and getting a recommendation from our local landlord we visited during our holidays for dinner. It was probably the worst experience we had during our trip to Italy and the most expensive dinner too.i don 't mind paying good money for good food, but this turned out to be a disappointment. Setting is nice, but the rest was underwhelming. Service was cold the head waiter ? bold guy must have picked up his service attitude in Eastern Europe having said that, some of the younger staff were more friendly . The food was bland and we had the impression that the chef was trying to present it in a fancy high end way that just did not work. There are better options around.
This is a rigorously seafood-only restaurant, nicely set on a wooden structure on the beachfront of Ascea, with pleasantly clean white interiors and views of the see from three sides. I visited a few times over the years, and at this point I really had to write a review. All choices on the menu are creative dishes from the chef, using fresh local seafood. I have tried a good fraction of them, and I can testify that they are all great choices. But I am particularly fond of anchovy-based dishes, like the excellent spaghetti sciabecco. The service had some shortcomings last year, but I must say that this year has returned to a good level, even if most waiters are young seasonals. The wine list could benefit from being expanded a bit. Fair prices. Overall highly recommended.
Lovely seaside restaurant with great food and cozy atmosphere. The staff were very kind and friendly and let us in before official opening time to escape the cold. Great food especially the Tuna in pistachio. Highly recommended.
