Fantastic dinner! Came in for dinner with a friend and very impressed with the high quality food on offer. The meat is from the butchers across the road and everything is home cooked. So pleased this historical pub serves such excellent food.
Went to this pub on our way to Chichester hotel lovely pub bar maid was so friendly made my partner and I feel so welcome will be going back
Was just passing through after helping friends with a house move in yapton pub was a bit empty.a bit like the atmostphere only had a lemonade as I was driving back to Portsmouth the owner was certainly a bit drunk I think he drinks the profits talking to a man in there who is a regular said it is only busy on Friday nights and there used to be live music but the profits are low and the only thing that keeps it open is its listed building status.
Traditional pub with really good ale and service .Quirky garden and a car park Did try the food but looks like traditional pub grub
Had been in this pub early evening and then tried to return later on to listen to a band. We planned to sit in the outside area as we had a couple of kids with us. Landlord on realising we became very aggressive and quoted some legislation from 2003 that turned out didn’t exist and said legally kids couldn’t be on the premises including the outside area. Law isn’t from 2003 but the one I think he meant relates to unaccompanied children which clearly they weren’t. Obviously at Landlords discretion to allow who he wants in his pub but at least be honest
